documentaries
As a life-longer learner, I’ve always loved watching documentaries to expand my knowledge on complex topics, the world’s natural beauty, trailblazers and more. While in college, I was able to create some of my own by showcasing the stories of real people, places, struggles and successes. These experiences really shaped my love for storytelling. Below are just two of my favorites, but more can be found here.
“60 Minutes” Master Class
During the Fall 2020 semester, nine Elon University seniors were tasked with pitching, filming and editing magazine style stories to mimic the 60 Minutes program on CBS.
Our story (the third story in order) focuses on the social and economic disparity COVID-19 illuminated in the education system in Alamance County, North Carolina. We spoke to families, educators and administrators about a second pandemic effecting students of color.
